The Hermitage

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to spend about two hours in The Hermitage State Museum.  The Museum holds over three million works of art and artefacts from around the world.  Obviously, two hours is nowhere near enough time to engage with so much incredible art.  In the end, I found that the only thing to do was to wander from room to room in awe – not just at the art, but at the elaborately designed ceilings and endless corridors – and let the whole experience wash over you.

Acoustically, the Hermitage was also very interesting.  For an example, have a listen to the recording I took on Pete’s post below.

This morning, I did some more sound and video recording around the Hermitage and Palace Square, while Pete made another attempt to reach the sea…
