Today is the final day of our visit to Bergen, and many (Morten, Sigurd and Trond, etc.) suggested that we go up to Mount Fløyen for some interesting soundscape recordings.
The place is actually quite popular among tourists and there is a small train (Fløibanen Funicular) that goes up there, which is not only used by tourists, but also people who live in this area.
So we hopped in one of these trains, and along the way, did some nice recordings, too.
Looking over the city from the top, we could have a better understanding of the topography of Bergen.
The sound up here was, indeed, much different from the ones heard in the city. We also went toward the forest for some time and got some good recordings, too.
We will soon upload some excerpts of the recoding we had there.
It was a really interesting and fun experience on Mount Fløyen and listening to the different characteristics of sounds in Bergen. Just how much fun did we have? This will definitely prove it!
Oh, and another thing: Ross found this and had to take a picture of it. This must be why it is sometimes very windy in Bergen!
